Record a Cisco WebEx™ Web Conference

Network Based Recording (NBR) is available only as on opt-in feature on committed, single-tenant Cisco WebEx sites. Please contact your account manager if your organization is interested in upgrading to a single-tenant site.

Use Network Based Recording to record your Cisco WebEx and XO Quick Conferences. Once you’ve finished recording, the file will be uploaded to the WebEx server for retrieval and download at a later time.

  1. In your Cisco WebEx meeting, make sure Record on Server is selected
  2. From within the Meeting menu, click on Start Recording
  3. Then, set up your audio

  4. Click Test Connection.
  5. Click Start Recording.  The recording feature will be turned on. You should hear a beep within 5 seconds.

The meeting will begin to record. The Recorder panel will be available on the right hand side of the screen.  Click the appropriate buttons to start, pause and stop recording. Once you’ve finished recording your meeting, the recording will be uploaded to the WebEx server.  When the recording is available, WebEx will send you an email indicating such. To retrieve your recording, go to the My Recorded Meetings link on your WebEx Meeting Manager to retrieve it.
